Sioux grows and expands. This is accompanied by the opening of a modern new office in Mijdrecht and the opening of the third Belgian office in Leuven.
Sioux reinforces with a Supervisory Board consisting of Maarten Steinbuch, Marc de Jong and Henk Tappel. Sioux expands with a back office in Romania, Cluj-Napoca. In September of 2017 Sioux opened a new office in Delft.
Logena moves to the Sioux headquarters in Eindhoven. Mid 2016, Sioux opens its own production hall with 1500 m2 of production floor, of which 350m2 is cleanroom. Sioux Assembly will focus on final assembly and testing of mechatronic products.
Sioux takes over mechatronics company CCM (Nuenen) and becomes one of the largest independent technology system houses of the Benelux.
Sioux is rewarded by customers with the Best Knowledge Supplier award during the Dutch Industrial Supplier Awards. Sioux opens an office in Gent. With the opening of this office Sioux can serve the region East- and West Flanders (Belgium) better. Sioux starts to organize Hot-or -Not: The Next Generation events to promote technology among the youth.
Sioux opens a back-office in Vietnam, Da Nang. Sioux opens Development Centers in Herentals and Amstelhoek Holland.
Sioux acquires the only industrial mathematical consultancy organization in the Netherlands LIME. This was originally a spin-off activity from the Technical University of Eindhoven. Sioux Automation Technology moves their office Amstelhoek.
Early 2010 Sioux expands further. On January 1 Sioux adds electronics engineering specialist NBG Industrial Automation to the Sioux Group. And on April 1 this year Sioux Automation Technology opens its doors in Utrecht. This allows Sioux to bring its service to customers in central and northern Netherlands and adds electronics as a complementary service to its portfolio.
The start of Sioux Technologies. Customers show an increasing demand for a one stop solution for software development who takes complete responsibility.
Hot-or-Not is very popular. An average attendence of more than 200 participants with session of Alan Cox (Linux) and Alistair Cockburn (Agile).
Sioux establishes a back-office in Moscow. In May 2007 Sioux starts with organizing Hot-or-Not sessions. Free seminars by international technology pioneers aimed at increasing the technical knowledge of embedded software developers.
Sioux wins the Mechatronica Award, for the development of the Phenom, a desktop electron microscope for FEI Company. Remarkable at this project is the joint development of this product by Sioux and NTS Group for FEI Company. It marks the shift to not only supporting the R&D but also acting as the R&D department.
Sioux office is relocated to a new industrial location in Eindhoven and changes the name to Sioux Embedded Systems.
Sioux grows to hundred employees and acquires UComServ to extend the Remote Solution activities to the vending market.
In March we receive the price for Best Entrepreneur Vision and in September Sioux is crowned as Best 1st Tier Supplier of The Netherlands by LINK Magazine and ING. Since July Sioux has also become a Microsoft Certified Partner.
The Machine2World® platform is introduced, which allows for interaction between machines via the Internet. De start of a new business unit focused on the Internet of Things is a fact.
Sioux is proud to win the Award as Best ICT company to work for. This success is repeated in 2003. Another remarkable fact is the listing of Sioux in Deloitte’s Fast 50, a ranking of the 50 fastest growing technology companies in The Netherlands. Despite the economic recession also in 2002 and 2003 is Sioux ranked in this list.
Sioux receives more and more demand for consultancy to improve the development process of clients. This becomes an official consultancy Business Unit. Until this day Sioux is implementing assessments and improvement programs on a worldwide basis.
In June Sioux opens a subsidiary in Belgium, named Sioux Embedded Systems N.V. At first in Antwerp. Later on the office is moved to Herentals.
Besides consultancy on site Sioux develops more and more in house projects. Therefore a new office is found at the Science Park in Eindhoven with enough space for the Sioux Development Centre.
It is May 1, 1996. Hans Duisters and Erik van Rijswijk start Sioux. With big ambitions and a small scale begins an extraordinary story in the High Tech industry near Eindhoven. Following experience gained from BSO ICT guru Eckart Wintzen they also want a company witha special culture, but adapted to the current zeitgeist. Sioux wants to rebel against Western philosophy where there is a large focus onshareholder value. Hence the name of an Indian tribe. Where people are central. Which is controlled by norms and values. Where being smart and the surprising the other is an important strategy. Indians know better than anyone that there must be a balance betweengiving and taking in any form whatsoever. A long-term focus provides stability and better results. If employees can develop optimally,they deliver performance that make the customers happy and eventually make Sioux better. Developing people and things is going backto the core. Then you find new insights and innovation.
