Language of the future

Elixir is ready for tomorrow. This modern functional programming language features pattern matching, extensibility using metaprogramming and protocols, and is surrounded with great tooling. Elixir is built on top of the Erlang virtual machine, inheriting it’s low-latency, distributed processing and fault-tolerance features. Elixir is used in server applications, web development, and embedded systems.

José Valim, creator of the Elixir programming language talked about Elixir and its ecosystem during the Sioux Hot-or-Not on June 26th.  After his presentation, Sioux provided a demo of the application of Elixir. The demo showed the power of the Elixir language, high-lighting the scalability, distributed, concurrency and fault-tolerance aspects.
