Leo has been working at Sioux as a Project Manager since 2024. After studying electronics, he quickly discovered his passion for leading projects at his first job. Since then, he has developed into an experienced project manager. At Sioux, Leo combines his technical background with his passion for connecting teams and successfully delivering projects.
All disciplines under one roof
Leo: ‘Sioux brings together all technical disciplines under one roof. Whether a project is mechanical, electrical, optical, software-related, or physically challenging, we have the expertise at Sioux to make it happen. Many other companies excel in a single field but often lack other disciplines. At Sioux, we can truly take on multidisciplinary projects while also building knowledge in different technologies. That versatility makes working here special. It also offers an enormous variety of projects. One time you might be working on a small mechanical component for a large company, the next time you are developing a complete product for a start-up. That dynamism and variety make the work genuinely interesting.’
‘Bringing all expertises together makes collaboration at Sioux unique.’
Open and accessible collaboration
‘What I enjoy most about my work is above all working as part of a team. Together with the team, I make sure everything runs smoothly, that everyone knows what needs to be done, and that people feel good in their work. At the same time, I am also the one who takes the lead towards the client: conducting negotiations, creating schedules, and making decisions. It is also about ensuring that we manage the finances responsibly, that budgets are correct, and that the client knows exactly where they stand. That combination of teamwork and responsibility is what makes it so interesting for me.’
'Of course, you mainly work with your own project team, but there are also many activities organised to get in touch with other colleagues, such as company meetings (Powwows), socials, or lunch at Labs. This way, you get to know colleagues from other projects and keep the network within the company lively.
This also contributes to Sioux’s open and accessible working atmosphere. You can walk into any office, and everyone is ready to offer advice or help. Nothing is too much to ask, and you have the facilities here to immediately try out ideas in practice: there is a well-equipped workshop and production facility with all kinds of machines to build and test things.’
